This info is just about to go out in my newsletter so I thought it would be good to put it in here too and that way I can keep tabs on my progress

 A few things from me….
Due to some lovely feedback from some customers and me finally trying to get myself organised I have decided to do a few things with Keepsakes To Cherish

Each kit will now come with one free sample bag of moulding powder
I know they are tricky when doing them for the first time and how quickly or slowly the mould sets does depend on the temperature of the water used, so I’ll include a sample bag in each kit for you to test out first.

Another thing is I’m lowering the age for feet for the containers I curently provide and giving another option for older children.
So, feet can be casted up to 6 months now (previously 12 months) as it seems when making the age guidelines I didn’t allow for the fact that I had (and still have) small babies and children. Hands can still be casted up to 5 - 10 years depending on the size of your child’s hands.

The option for older children is using bigger sized containers. I haven’t decided if I’m going to create a range of kits with the different sized containers because I have to work through my options and also see if they’ll keep in the post without breaking. But I will keep you posted on any developments.

Lastly is, you’ve asked for it and it’s been on my list for months and months and I’m going to write it down so that I will get onto it and that’s to create a video of the casting process. I’m going to give myself until the end of July to video myself casting one of my children’s hands and then editing and uploading. Now that I’ve said it, I will have to do it.

I’d usually consider myself a fairly organised person, but after a few hectic weeks at home, I clean forgot to get a gift for a baby shower I was attending at the weekend. 2009 is finally upon us. I’ve had a pretty good start to the year so hopefully it continues.

We’re still on school holidays and I’ve been fairly busy but I’m using this quiet time in my house to add some testimonials and pictures that I was supposed to do months ago.

I strive for good customer service. I try to send your kits out at the latest the day after I receive payment into my account. I haven’t had any major complaints with any of my kits yet but for minor issues like moulds not turning out etc I try really hard to come up with a mutually satisfactory solution for both of us. I have not had to refund a kit yet and I hope my testimonials reflect the good customer service I strive to provide.

I’m new to this blogging thing and still finding my way around. I guess the obvious first post would be to introduce myself and my business.

I’m Lisa and a WAHM to my 5 children. I am busy but I enjoy our fast paced lives. I love owning and running my business not only because I love having something that is mine to work on but I love the products I sell. I believe they are a wonderful keepsake and memory.

I have 2 school aged boys, a preschool aged daughter and 2 little boys still at home with me full time. All of them have had their hands casted and the 3 little ones have had their feet casted too. Their hands have bee done several times and comparing the growth often takes my breath away. I love holding tiny hands and remembering that my big kids really did used to be that small.

I sell DIY baby hand and feet casting kits. I have been trained as a professional life caster but my DIY kits give parents a cheaper, easier option to create and hold onto these precious keepsakes and memories. I want to give other mums an affordable option of doing this. All of the materials I include in my kits are the exact same materials I would show up at your house with. The instructions are written in an easy to read, easy to follow way and I am available to troubleshoot any issues you may have.

Being a large family myself I wanted to create an affordable option for large families to get all of their children’s hands casted. So there is an 8 mould kit available also.

This blog will include tips and hints on life casting and also ways you can display your casts, images and testimonials. I’ll also include important business news and information and perhaps some family chaos thrown in for good measure.
